A Fearless Leader
Abhimanyu Rao is the National Convener of All India Congress Committee, OBC Department. He was born in 1984 to Shri Anil Rao and late Sunita Rao and is the grandson of late Rao Abhay Singh in Saharanwas village, District Mahendargarh now known as Rewari district. He's the only son to his parents.
He was born in a political family and after completing his studies he started his political journey in 2006 and within one year he became the State Organisation Secretary of Haryana Youth Congress in 2007. For working so hard in different posts of the party with full enthusiasm and for being determined, punctual and responsible towards his work, he was handed over the responsibility of the Observer of OBC department for Daman & Diu and Dadar & Nagar Haveli. Together with this he was appointed as the National Convener of OBC Department AICC and in-charge of Punjab, Chandigarh and Rajasthan’s OBC department as well. In short, he is a person who's working hard to fulfill the hopes of these sections of our society.
His Grandfather Late Rao Abhay Singh was one of the first MLA of Southern Haryana. He was a successful lawyer before becoming a politician. He won his first election as a Congress candidate in 1952. He won the Rewari Vidhan Sabha seat twice and won once from Jatusana Constituency. He always uplifted the poor and backward people of Haryana (especially South Haryana). He worked for these underprivileged segments throughout his life.
